Stephanie H. Taylor, MD, M Architecture, CIC, FRSPH (UK)
ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer, Epidemic Task Force, Environmental Health Committee
Harvard Medical School InciteHealth Fellow
HMS Primary Care InciteHealth

After receiving her MD from Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts in 1984, Dr. Taylor practiced clinical medicine and did academic research in cellular growth mechanisms for the next several decades.

During this time, she became increasingly concerned about new infections that harmed too many patients during their hospitalizations. Determined to gain a better understanding of the role of the hospital building in patient outcomes, she returned to school and obtained my master’s degree in Architecture.

Dr. Taylor now strives to better understand the relationship between the built environment and occupant health in order to decrease diseases and support occupant health. She is the CEO of Taylor Healthcare Consulting, Inc., and the President of Building4Health, Inc. Her work reveals indoor air factors that impact health, thereby allowing building management to prioritize the most valuable asset,  the occupant.

Key Learning Objectives for this webinar:

  1. Key understanding of virus spread mechanisms and mitigation practices within the indoor building environment
  2. The impact the built environment, particularly temperature and humidity, has on occupant (in this case patient) outcomes
  3. Practical design tools that attendees can implement in their indoor built environment to enhance patient outcomes
